RE: Conquering clutter?
Aww thanks for the compliment Lily, I think my process around clutter has changed a lot over time. I used to use tons of it, mainly because I would decorate and build rather than play. As I have become more involved in actually playing my game I am using a lot less.

Like Sonniku I tend to put things in the places I would find them to get me going. The kitchen is always the room I have to watch myself with otherwise it would be completely unplayable. I tend to just pick a few select pieces now that give a hint of realism, like the kitchen roll near a sink or wooden spoons near an oven.

Don't forget about the WCIF section Allesmere, that's now I honed my own CC folder and everyone here would be happy to help you hunt stuff down.

Start with the basics by finding clutter that you would have in your own home. For instance, toilet paper and soap are mandatory in my real life bathroom, thankyouverymuch, so all my sim bathrooms have toilet paper rolls and soap dishes. Do that for every room, and you'll end up with a lived-in feel without thinking too hard about it.

RE: Conquering clutter?
I can't live without clutter.

I use more in some Sim's houses, depending on their personality, and less in others. But....I always have some kind of clutter, because it's what makes my houses look like real homes. What kind of clutter totally depends on the Sim.

And I've had enough experience by now with cluttering homes that I can usually guess where I should and shouldn't place something. I couldn't live without using OMSP packages everywhere. That's why I hate taking pictures in Build/Buy because you can see them!

But it's worth it to have extra slots!

I don't have as much CC as some people, because I regularly prune it down to what I know I have to have, but I couldn't live without CC. The game is just not real enough for me without it.

It's so good to see you becoming a more civilised individual, Knickers - not chipping it off with a pumice stone any more then?
