Great information, Soil!!! Clap
(so, it means I have more schools to build? Chuckle )

By the way, I removed the school rabbit hole for my Carnaval, and it worked: kids couldn't go to school, so it should also work during summer holidays. Teachers will have to be retired though.

I forgot about teachers! Hmm I'll just have to make a note of their job progression and use MC to fix it once school resumes again. If only there were some way of just disabling the school interaction...

Doesn't Twallan's career mod have a school option as well, where you can choose what type of school your kid goes to. Maybe it's possible to un-asign them from the school with that mod. Not sure as I don't use the school module.

I might use an old version of Twallan's careers (haven't updated since Pets... Blush ), but his schools were using other rabbit holes than the school ones, like the dinner RH for the culinary school, the movie theater for the arts school...

Oke I am late to the discussion as i usually am but first of all i think it sucks that children can`t have holiday`s ,adults can take time off of work, but it isn`t the case so thanks for the tip to take out the rabbithole.
i remember that the twallan mod has an option for homescholing too mayby that would do if you do not want them to enter a new school during the year , to be honest i don`t like it either, but i gues I have learned to live with itRoll

RE: School, kids & aging
Ok, I've totally figured out how to implement summer vacations without deleting the school (useful for those who use rabbitholes and not rugs!)

You need Master Controller and Story Progression for this!

In map view, click on the school rabbithole icon and choose NRaas - Story Progression - Lot Options. You should see a menu enabling you to set the school as a High School or Elementary, and to make it male or female only. Disable all of these to prevent any kids showing up for school. You can enable these options again the evening before you want the school to resume.

If you have Sims in the education career and you want them to have the summer off: click on the Sim in question and select NRaas - Master Controller - Intermediate - Career. There is an option in this menu called 'Days Off' - click on this to give your Sims days off for as long as you'd like your summer to last. They'll still get paid, I think, but we'll consider this holiday pay :)

The school will still be there and you can still use it to attend art classes.
