RE: Seasons Possibilities
Peachy, I don't think Seasons would affect Sims 3 as much as it did in Sims 2. Inge and some others commented on MTS that the rain and snow are not 3d but just illusions of rain and snow and you would only see what is in front of you, not rain and snow falling at a distance. Since Sims 3 is much better at letting you adjust settings, you might find it has less impact that horses or dogs running around the neighborhood...or werewolves and fairies flying. The special effects in a magic pack would probably be done similarly to how they do the snow and rain.

I took that latest survey too. I want farming!! That sounds amazing.

RE: Seasons Possibilities
I would love farming! Can anyone take the survey, or is it invitation-only?

Rian, that's one thing I didn't like about Sims 2 weather, actually -- if you were inside a house, looking out a window, you couldn't see the snow falling. You could only see it outside, because it wasn't really falling everywhere, just in front of the camera. :( But I'd take that over no snow at all!

RE: Seasons Possibilities
Jen you can sign up here to take surveys for video games. I signed up last year when I saw screenshots of a survey on Sims VIP (I didn't make the connection at first that the survey that came out this weekend was a new one...however it did rehash some of the one from last year).

But then I had issues with Hotmail, deleted that e-mail and went exclusively with Gmail, and totally forgot about that survey company till it just popped up again. So I went back and signed up again (since I didn't have access to my previous log-in) and now I've taken two more surveys.

In my mind, EA is planning out the end of Sims 3. I've always heard that there were placeholders for ten EPs and in these two surveys they've asked questions about a total of four possible EPs...so 2+2 in my mind equals they are planning ahead and possibly trying to take into account all the fan feedback on this last lot of releases.

I could be 100% wrong. Dunno But now that I've had time to think about it a lot of the first survey came to pass with Showtime. And they released Lunar Lakes too, which I'm pretty sure there were questions related to it in that last survey. Plus I've already mentioned the Katy Perry connection and the possible alliance with Diesel.

The survey I took over the weekend also had questions about the SPs mentioned in that open community poll on the Sims 3 website. So...we wait and see..

RE: Seasons Possibilities
If this is true, EA is finally making packs that are worth their cost again!

If this EP actually comes out, I'll surely purchase it. I'm not desperate for seasons, but I like the festivals, the new careers, and the activities.:D
